As the dawn just began to spread over the top of the teaching building, the orange exterior bricks came to life. The brick surface was a warm orange color like the segments of a ripe orange, with the fine matte finish left by the sun's exposure. When touched, one could feel the faint lines left during the firing process, mingling with the coolness of the morning and the warmth of the brick. 

The wind, carrying the fragrance of the camphor tree leaves, swept past the wall, carrying away some of the heat. The light and shadow danced on the brick wall, coloring the orange hues in distinct layers. Each brick seemed to be telling the story of the campus's liveliness and distinctiveness.
