Quality Control - Ceramic Tile
ICOT has gain comprehensive and rigorous 3C Certification and ISO9001 Quality System Certification. According to Japanese Industry Standard JISA5209-1994, which is commonly used internationally, and Chinese National Standards GB/T4100-2006, ICOT established a stricter company internal standard to exalt product quality.
Test methods are as follows:
Water absorption:
- Put the tile with room temperature into drying box with temperature of 105¡æ - 115¡æ till the weight becomes invariable, cool the tile to room temperature.
- Take the tile out and clean the surface quickly, record the weight as ¡®M1¡¯.
- Put the tile into vacuum box with atmospheric pressure of 10¡À1 Pa for 30 minutes, meanwhile, add water to overtop the tile for 5cm.
- Stop vacuumizing, dip the tile into water for 15 minutes.
- Wipe the tile with wet cloth, which has been tweaked heavily. Record the weight as ¡®M2¡¯.
- Water absorption is: [(M2-M1)/M1]¡Á100%.

Size control
Test equipment - The precision of the test equipment is below 1/20mm.
Length and width¨Clength of square tile is average value of four sides;
Size of oblong tile: length is the average value of two long sides; width is average value of two short sides.
Flexural Strength
Support the tile with two sticks of 10mm diameter; press the product center with another stick of 10mm diameter.
Flexural strength is: P=(F/b)¡Á(L/90)
F: rupture load (N)
L: span between two supporting sticks (mm)
b: tile width (cm)

1.Cool the completely dried tile to room temperature, put it into vacuum box and add water to overtop the tile for 15 minutes, then reconvert to atmospheric pressure.
2.Freeze the tile in certain speed to -5¡æ and keep it for 15 minutes, then dip it into water till the temperature reach 5¡æ and keep it for 15 minutes. Repeat the operation for 100 times, inspect if there are any breaks or glaze cracks.

Chemical causticity resistance:
Use neutral detergent to clean the tile, put the tile into oven with temperature of 110¡æ¡À5¡æ till the weight become invariable, then cool it to room temperature. Dip the tile into hydrochloric acid and hydroxide sodium with 10% concentration in normal temperature for 24 hours, then wash it with water and inspect whether there is any abnormity.
